Clive was quite new to the workforce and had limited paid experience. But he had much more actual experience than he was taking credit for because his resume didn’t include freelance work he had done since leaving his last employer.

We created a section for that work, presenting it just the way we presented his full-time positions. This allowed us to highlight some interesting freelance projects.

Never leave off contract work when it directly relates to your goals. Especially if you don’t yet have a lot of paid experience.
