Karthik had just graduated so he didn’t have any paid game industry experience, although he did have some web development programming experience.
We decided to highlight the classwork he did while studying for his degree since it was video game-related. We described this just as we would describe a regular position.
This is important to remember – experience doesn’t have to be paid to be included on your resume. Work you did for school projects, or volunteer work you did, or things you did for friends, all these are valid to include on your resume.
