Make Sure Your Resume Tells a Story
Just saw this great comment on a blog post about storytelling as it relates to marketing:
Twenty years ago, a used car salesman said to me, “Facts tell, stories sell.”
This is just as true of your resume as it is of a product. If you’re not getting a great response, look at your resume again and ask yourself if it tells the story of your career or simply recites a bunch of facts.
To learn more about telling a story with your resume, feel free to sign up for my free resume writing course. It comes by email and by the time you’re done, you’ll understand just why stories are so important and how you can use them to attract attention and generate interview invites.
